Serving the country in uniform was and is the most significant thing I have done in my life. I have since received a Bachelor's and a Master's. worked for an company that I helped expand internationally, gotten married and had a beautiful daughter. However, the five years as a Hospital Corpsman, attached to Marine units is what opened the door to all of these possibilities.
To think that I am a husband and a father is the most exciting thing that has ever happened to me and now I must taken on the responsibilities that go along with that...but htere is just one problem. With all of the history behind me, I can not find work. I am trying to re-enter the military as an officer.have been sice April. hurry up and wait right? I have also been looking for stable work since November of 2007. Is this where we are today? I am sure that a lot of people have the same issues and therefore this is just my way to vent. I have started this blog to keep my spirits up and allow others to vent along with me.
I look forward to hearing from all of you and do not hesitate to express gripes and concerns, this is what this is designed to do.

I feel your pain, man. When I got back from NY I couldn't find a job for 9 months and I have a dual degree and a minor. Did you feel like all of this time everyone promised that if you just got through college and got that degree that you would have a job? I was completely shocked that no one wanted someone with a degree who had just worked for a big, well known company in NY. People just don't graduate and work for the same company for 50 years anymore.
These are the toughest times economically that I have ever seen (63 years and counting), so hang in there. You will persevere in time. Lean on your strengths (character, integrity, family) and know that the challenges you face are not a result of anything you have done or not done. Contribute what you can and keep hammering away at the walls you face.
